The Installed Systems Engineering Review™ (ISER™) is an independent engineering review of permanent access, fall-protection, and rescue systems already installed and in service.
It produces a documented engineering finding on the system’s installed condition, lifecycle risk, and remediation options, recorded as of a point in time. It provides an engineering record, not approval.
The review is conducted independently of any supplier, installer, or service provider with a commercial interest in the conclusion. It is not a routine or statutory service inspection and does not replace inspections required under applicable regulations.
It does not certify a system for continued operation, does not adjudicate the current service provider, supplier, or installer, and does not endorse specific equipment, suppliers, or service providers.
Findings reflect the system’s condition, configuration, and documentation as examined within the engagement’s written scope and as of the review dates.
The scope of each review is defined in a written engagement agreement.
RSE does not design, manufacture, supply, install, or service equipment, and does not perform corrective work.
Where findings call for correction, any RSE role in retrofit or remediation is a separately agreed engineering engagement.
Inquiry about, or intake toward, an ISER™ does not create an engineering, advisory, or client relationship.
All engagements require written agreement under the Engagement & Intake Governance Policy.
The engineering record produced by the review belongs to the client.
Its handling is governed by the Confidentiality & Information Protection Policy and the engagement agreement.
RSE has no continuing duty to monitor the system or update findings after the review dates absent a written engagement providing for it.
This policy may be updated.
